Spijkstaal Elektro was founded in a village smithy in Spijkenisse (1938). Spijkstaal started with the construction of steel agricultural wagons and later set the scene on the streets of the Netherlands with its electric milk trucks and mobile supermarkets.
Nowadays, Spijkstaal Elektro has expanded into a leading company in the areas of horizontal transport and professional inner city transport.
Hereby Spijkstaal is specifically focused on internal (horizontal) transport within buildings, building complexes and building grounds. In addition, Spijkstaal offers a wide range of sustainable solutions for transporting goods and people within inner city areas. Spijkstaal developes, produces, sells and maintains a wide scale of electric tow tractors, platform trucks and special vehicles for a diversity of markets and applications. The Spijkstaal electric vehicles are characterized by among others towing capacities from 1 to 30 ton and loading capacities upto 7,5 ton.
